China’s palm olein imports in March this year were reported at 162,222 tonnes, figures from the country’s General Administration of Customs (GACC) released over the weekend showed.

While the level was a 69.4% increase from February, the volume was 58.2% lower compared to March 2023, with total palm olein imports for the first three months of 2024 coming to 548,830 tonnes – a 45% dropped compared to the same period last year.
