India edible oil imports decline in June but to rebound strongly in July as shipments are deferred and prices cool | YoY edible oil stocks

 

India’s total edible oil imports fell 17% in June to 969,431 tons versus the same time last year according to India SEA latest data. Escalating palm product prices, widening lockdown measures curbing consumer demand, and deferment in shipment to July as traders take advantage of the reduction import tax—combined to weigh down on import in June.
